Hi Everyone!! My name is Wendell aka Wild or Wildman. I live in Reed,Ky. which is between Henderson & Owensboro & between to good cat fishin rivers Ohio & The Green. My wife (sunshinesinreed) has been a member here for awhile & she just now getting around to sending me a link to it,,lol I love to Fish & love fishin the Kat's the best. We do alot of camping down at Lake Mauzy (Daisy Mae) down at Boxville,Ky. We been Tent campers until we bought a Coachmen last year so we stepped up in the way we camp. We havn't gotten to camp in it yet as we have to do some floor repairs in it, but have slepted in it here at the house,,lol We love geocaching to. It get's us out of the house & seeing sites in the area that I never knew was near us here before. We have 2 boats to, One is a bass boat (Quadhita) if I spelled that right. It's not seen the water in a many years as the motor isn't to trust worthly,,lol The other boat is a 8 to10 foot john. We bought it last year or year before & havn't had it in the water yet either,,lol We just havn't had the time to get out & doing some camping & fishing the last few years. We hoping to find some ground along the river to rent to have a river camp to get out away from the house for a weekend or a week or 2,,lol Even like to share rent on one if we can find someone who like to share the grounds. Just something we could drag our camper too. Nothing to build a house on, Just maybe a carport type of thing. I can build about anything I set my mind to Plus the tools to do so
Well, I'm going on & on,,lol If you like to know more about me or us, Give us a shout & hope to run into a few of you out fishing.

Well, Bob.... Me and 4rum was tryin' to start up a bowlin' team... That didn't work out so good.... Then we tried to some sky writin'... but, rum couldn't flap his arms fast enuff.... So we just decided to start this here forum for us guys and gals that like to hunt , fish and just enjoy the outdoors...

Stick around... We might come up with more ideas... Never know 'bout us.

Well Soupy, We have been down in your area a few times in the past months looking at houses For Sale & doing some of the geocaching we do. Plus there is a place down there we're very interested in taking a hike to & not sure yet if it's Private land or not. The Ms. love taking pictures of areas & I found this place looking at some Topo Map of the area down there.

Hey Wendell,
I am from Owensboro, Love to get together some time and chat. If you look at the fishing post site, we will have a fishing tournament May 15th at Panther Creek Park for kids with disabilities. It was a blast last year and looking forward to the wisdom of Soupy being there again. He realy classed up our group last year. Well at least we had someone there that could show the DFW how to fish. Hope you can come that day.

Hello guys...I have been a member of the yahoo group for a while.. I lurk but read everything..and I see my hubby joined.. I told him this group was a great one and he loves chatting lol...anyway just wanted to say my hello's .. y'all have a great night.. oh and I don't know who all is for WHAT TEAM for the SUPER BOWL but I myself (living in louisiana for over 25 yrs) is rooting for GEAUXXXX SAINTS lol... sorry just had to put that in.. have a great night

Well, Soupy, Best way I can tell you is you head west (toward the river) on 667 out of Dekoven & you get to the place where the Rail Road Tracks use to cross the road & right there on the right on the use to be tracks is a road & what I can see from my maps from the Internet the road is called "Martin Rd." When we was down there this past summer & if you just turn onto this road on the right there is a handmade No Trespassing sign. You know where I'm talking about?? Well, up that road or told tracks there is a bend where the tracks use to be & the old tracks start now heading North/East. Well, In that bend is a Bluff (I'm taking there is a bluff there??) called "Anvil Rock" Is that land owned by someone? & if so, Is there anyway the owner will let us explore it & for others to explore it too? We don't want to hunt it or mess up the area. If anything if there is any trash there we will pack it out in small bit's. We just like to see if it's a place interesting enough to share with others that like hiking & the outdoors. Plus, if there is any other places you know of like this down there in the area that could be shared with others, that would be great too.

You drove within' 200 yards of my house ifin' you came down 492 and 500 yards ifin' you came in 1508... I live in Dekoven....
That's the Old Martin Place you're talking about... Big Cane Patch back there too (Bamboo)... Just sold at auction a year or so back..I heard that it might be had for a price....Was three houses back there. Lots of history around that place....The town itself (Martin Place sits in) was or is known as Curlew,KY.... I've hunted that whole area in my time...

It's been told that Jesse James and the boys had used that rock (Anvil Rock) to rob trains..
Jesse and Frank lived here in Union County KY at one time in their life..
