Not only Uniontown Damn but, in any deep hole that has current .. Smiley, one of my fishin' buddies, stopped by the other day and told me he was snaggin' some nice blues too, just down river from my house...(Dekoven,KY)
Something to think about... Have you ever used spoonies for bait....Just something to think about... I don't tell all my secretes but, if you read my stuff enuff, you'll find some " hints " in my writin's. ( this may be one of 'em.)

What is a spoonbill? Use to snag carp and suckers. That's the redneck name for a "Paddle Fish" ...
I had talk to the KY Fish and Wildlife a while back about spoonbill catfish.... They had no idea what I was talking about...When they figured it out , they told me right quick that it was a "Paddle Fish" and "NOT" a catfish. They have very white, sweet meat in them and are good to eat... Jut make sure you get the "red meat" out of them first. But, they're better for using as bait for them BIG BLUES and FLATS!

My Big Bro & a friend of ours use to go down below Ky. Lake Dam & snag for them back in the late 70's. When I use to go down there to camp & fish for years, First stop was to go watch the guy's & doll's snaggin' for them spoonbills. I never got to give it a try myself & alway's love to. I guess I'll stick to the bank fishin' till I get my old boat ready for the water.

It's too much like work for me now-a-days. My wife's Aunt on her Maw's side use to own them cabins there just across the KY Dam.. Little place called Gilbertsville,KY .. We stayed there when we were snaggin'
