I know most of you guys probably never heard of this company but, for most guys and gals that hunt or fish know this name well. I am one of those guys.... ( that hunts and fishes).. I have been trapping around the home place for a couple of years now, not for profit but, to rid the area of them little critters that destroy your garbage and anything else they think they can find food in. I have been using these Havahart cage traps or "live" traps for a long time... And over the years these critters can and will tear up your trap... OK, I'm gonna try to make this story shorter... After years of use, I found that one of my traps needed some repair, so I contacted the Havahart company... Just wanting to find out where I could "buy" some replacement parts for my traps... I talked to a young man that told me give him my address and he would take care of it.... And , boy did he !I ask for a "trigger pan" for one of my traps and as you can see in the picture what they sent me.... A REPLACEMENT TRAP ! Folks, I'm here to tell you that these things are not that cheap...!!! I wanted a 5 dollar part and they sent me a 60 dollar trap...... Needless to say, I was very confused !!!! At "no" cost to me I got a brand new trap just for contacting this company..... Now.... What do you think.......When I go out to buy some more traps.... could you tell me what brand I need to buy ?
Let me think for a minute........................HAVAHART ! .... for some reason, keeps coming to mind..... No, they didn't pay me to write this..... I did it on my own.......
One more thing ......................... IT'S AMERICAN MADE TOO !

It does seem awful lonely on this site since I've all but stopped fishing..... It'll get better.... I got my boat back from the doctor and she's ready to go.................Now if I can find time I'll be ready...

Back up at the top of this thread, I was telling you guys about my Hav-a-heart traps and the way those nice folk took care of me when I had a trap to get torn up... Well, here's the other side of this mighty jungle of trap sales.. Company called Duke Traps.... I've got a couple .. When I bought them they were called Duke HD traps... Well, here we go......As you can see, I had "something" trying to get out of my trap or something trying to get at something in my trap...
Needless to say... It's still out there.... Ok, I sent Duke an email asking if they had replacement parts for these traps.... (I wanted to buy them) This was their reply : It appears the trap you have is a brand called “Humane Way”. While we don’t carry replacement parts for that trap,
You can probably place new wire over the open area and secure with zip ties.
I hope this is helpful.
Thanks,
Bill Duke
Duke Company
Tel. (662) 494-6767
Fax (662) 494-5360
Email: bduke@dukepecan.com Now can you see me tying these traps together with "Zip Ties" after having something to just plumb eat through that steal wire...
Won't be anymore "Duke/Humane Way" traps in my future. (Humane Way is what that Duke guy said it was When I bought it , it was called a Duke HD trap.

I have to apologize for my last post about Duke Traps... After doing my research I did find that Mr. Duke was right.. That trap that I got tore up night before was a HUMANE WAY Trap.... The Duke trap is cheaper made and probably wouldn't hold a large bunny rabbit. .. I'm sorry Mr. Duke. ( that you don't build a better trap) When I bought this trap at Rural King they had it listed as a Duke Trap Somebody got them screwed up someplace.
