Scouting trip! gonna fish the south end of the lake where the rivers come in. dropped some brush up there bout a month ago and they need checkin

Me and Ole Lyndell (with two L's)  (this is Lyndell) went scoutin' down at KY Lake last Sunday and some of the locals down there said the crappie were runnin' real good...
KY Lake is South of me ,so, I'm figurin' it won't be long that weather will be up this way.
Gofish, you need to talk to Little2rude... Ifin' he's gonna do any fishin' with you, he's gonna need to keep that rod.....I just can't find room for it down here right now...
The ole lady said I could buy it but, I'd have to leave the house so she'd have room to keep the rod.
I didn't really like the tone of her voice when she said that either.

im a telln him soupy....anythin lighter n a decent one will make him wish he had it still lol
hey stinkiesdaddy ya do lots a castin or vertical jiggin or what fer them crappies?...up till water hit 48deg roun here we vertical jig round structure with them long rods....it hits that magic 48 degrees though look out....castn bites on

lol ...feel fer ya....my first trip or 2 every year at ice out is like that...ain the fishes fault...im jus movn too fast lol..gotta slow myself down a bit....fishn shallow or deep? got a lil secret area where theyre only in 5ft a water at ice out every year..isolated wood on a flat with mud bottom..warms up quick
