Been fishin' three times this week and scored 102.5 lbs... Nuttin' big (35lb was the biggest) Gonna try to go back tonight or this weekend.

good un soupy..glad ya got on a few.....no fishn fer me...blew brake cylinder on way ta work fri.....spent half the day doin brakes n otherr half layn blocks....got me new toy now though...new/old case backhoe......needs lil work on the clutch but allready lookin fer jobs with er .......cant even git rouin on the river here right now its so low anyway

Ya ain't missing nuttin'. I went down Friday night and didn't get nary that first fish.
Hung one ole big'un and he cut my line on the rocks.....
Gonna wait 'til Monday or Tuesday to hit it again....
Had me a feller to show me a bait pond yesterday, I'm gonna try it Monday in the AM and see if I can get me a batch of 'gills to fish with.. Seems that's what they're hittin' on down here.

Blank,zip,notta, nuttin'...... for more than a week now... Even talked to several others that's been hitting 'em purtty hard..... Same all over down here.... THEY GOT LOCK JAW !

Gonna try again in about a week.... By then I'll have my barn just about done.

Let's reflect over this past year....

Facebook: Gained a few new friends this year, lost a few people that called themselves my friends....

Fishing : Sucked....Didn't have the time to go as much as I wanted but, did enjoy the short time I was... out there chasing them big Blues.

Home work: Got a lot done this summer , still have a lot to finish up...Now it's raining and I'm setting here watching what dirt work I had gotten done wash away.....That's called " Job Security " I'll have plenty to do next summer....Thanks to our Union County Road Dept. that's falling behind a little on their promises and work.

Family...: Got a good one..... I have two beautiful Rug Rats , here close by that are growing like weeds ....and one that lives other places that has gotten married and started a family of her own...( she has a beautiful little Rug Rat of her own too.. Damn, that makes me Great Grand Pa... Time shore flies by when you're having fun...
So I guess over all it's been a good year.....
I hope everybody has a big Christmas/Xmas or whatever you celebrate.. And a profitable New Year this coming year..... (if Obama will let you)

Next year , if I'm still around.. I've got plans for a couple of trips...Not far but, for a good cause... One will be to Owensboro,KY to be with some friends I've made over there.. Billy Shain and his kids, all 100 plus of them....Yelp , that'll be The Two Rivers Buddy Ball Fishy Tournament... A fishing tournament for the Special Needs kids..
I've been there twice and got a big smile, a t-shirt and a warmer heart to prove it.
Also too, I've been invited to a different kind of tournament.....?.It's Called The John A Logan National Hunting N Fishing Days
I'm not sure what it's all about but, I think I'm going to go and find out....

It's over in Ill (someplace) it's for two days....and it's for the kids also..
I'm not sure about this one yet but, I'll do some more checking before I say too much about it... I was just invited yesterday...
I was talking to one of their Safety Directors over in Ill yesterday and he (really) ask me to come over and fish with them...
Biggest fish wins....But, you have to put that fish in their pond and the kids get to try to catch them....Then , they win all the prizes... Sounds good to me !
Just wonder why there's nothing like this around Union County.KY...

Well, so much for my boring little life....

I've gotta go find something to do for today ,before Maw gets home and does it for me.... Damn, she had me doing the washing and house work until way past mid-night last night... I think today ... I'll just stay in and watch soap-operas ...

Well Soupy it has been a busy year for me as well. Fisrt I was able to leave the HXXL HOLE of a place and retire after 31 years and now love being out doors all the time (driving a school bus ). I love dodgeing deer and turkey and what ever else runs across the road. Two Rivers Buddy Ball has taken a life of its own and now is 11 months a year with 6 sports and the Fishy Tournament. And we are in the planning stage of doing a Special Needs Awareness Fair. We still have 9 folks in the house, 5 of our kids, 2 grand kids, and my wife and I. Not counting the 2 dogs. Life is great but would like a break every now and then but that is the way it goes. I am so blessed to have my family and good friends ( that includes you Soupy ). I hope everyone can be blessed in this next year far more than any other year.
