I am the only one that I know that retired from there and did not get a GOLD WATCH. Oh well if they gave it to me now I might just tell them where they can put it if you know what I am talking about.

No item is worth the knowledge that you performed your assigned tasks to the best of your ability every day you were there.
They can never take that away from you, or attempt to cheapen it with fake/phoney awards.

So much for the "Gold Watch" stuff..
Back to some serious stuff.
Me and one of my local buds went for a ride yesterday...
Well, we were s'ppose to be fishin'... Since we didn't catch anything worth braggin' about ...I'll tell you about the ride home.
We put in around 5:30 in the AM and was really ready for a good day of fishin....
Just to find it was back to like it was last year.....NO shad to be found...we throwed our nets for might near an hour and only found 4.....yep I said f o u r shad...Not doing so good to start...
We decided to run down to one of our local smaller rivers to try out some BLOOD BAIT other wise known as S T I N K B A I T for the smaller channel cats.....Not gonna happen this day... After about 5 hours of givin' it our best shot...We decided to try the Ohio River for a few minutes......
Yep.. only a few minutes...
Because we were up in that smaller river ( Trade Water River) we didn't pay much attention to the weather... The sun was shinnin' and it was just plumb pretty where we were fishin'......Until we got back out on the main river (Ohio)
That's when we found that the wind had gotten up a little bit....Yeah ... a little bit......right... About 40 mph gusts... Water was white cappin' at about 3 to 4 feet and we were about three miles from the boat ramp....
Yep even with the Big Redneck Yacht it was gonna be a ride we won't soon forget.
We pulled up anchors and headed for the ramp....3 miles in about 45 minutes .....Rough just ain't the word for it...I think I seen the bottom of the Yacht a couple of times..............over top of our heads!
We hit some waves that my big 90 hp Yamaha just plumb run outta water to push with....That was a weird feeling .. When you're climbin' one of them big waves and you start to go backwards....Not good !
We did make it ok....well, if we hadn't , I wouldn't be typin' this here story...
We learned something this day.......To PICK A BETTER DAY TO FISH !

On the river for another day... Same score fish 1 Soupy 0 !
Damn gofish, what are you doing to us from up there.... Ohio River jumped 4 feet overnight... Now they're saying 40 feet by next week.

Day two : Yep, I still got it ! one 9 and one 11lb along with some smaller ones.

Yeah Ray, I was beginning to think I was just talking to myself on here...
But, I can't be on here all the time myself... I've got fishing to do.
I guess everybody else has got stuff they need to be doing outside....or they just don't like us anymore.  which don't bother me none... I can keep talkin' to you.

It kind of puts thing back in the right perspective in life. All in all I had a good day. I still can not do the math right as my mom is still 39. 
Been busy with all the things with our special needs kids. One more week till the big day. 
I hope you still plan on coming Soupy. I will try to do some more posting to keep you folks in line here. LOL
