Soupy you said u use a clip not or something like that for bass fishing. Can u explain what that is please? Is it a piece of plastic that connects the leader to the running line? How well does it work?
Pegleg use said you use the loop knot on cranks/lures that don't have a split ring. My question is this. If the crank/lure has a nose ring (split ring in the front) and I use a snap swivel, will the kill the action of the lure? I know the snap on a lure without the split ring, kind of dies, but not sure of the lure with a ring.

The only time I use snap swivels is on spoons. They tend to twist your line. I don't like to add more hardware to my riggs. I'm of the opinion the snap swivel is just another connection to fail. And it adds a unatural look to the bait.

I don't normally use them, but sometimes they just come in handi. Tying them knots are getting harder and harder.

The no-knot snap is not really a "Snap Swivel" it's just a little wire shaped like a reeeeally small hook that the lure can not come off of until you take it off... Can hardly be seen if you use the right size... Fly Fishermen use them a lot....well, that's where I learned it from anyhow. Don't have to be cuttin' and tying the line all the time.and I wear glasses all the time so that part don't bother me no how. They come smaller than these...
