You should like that camera Soup, I have a Olympus ES500 I have had for about 3 years and ut is awesome. Mine only has 8 megapixel so you should get great pictures.
I'm just gonna have to learn I guess. |

See y'all in a little while... Me and my buddy are leavin' out to go pick up my New Yacht.. Hope we can get it home in one piece ...I'll have pictures later.. ( with my new camera if I can figure out how to turn it on)

It's warmin' up today.... Maw ain't got too much for me to do........Might break out the boat and see if any baits a runnin' yet.... Heard yesterday the river is on the rise again... I might be busy for the next day or so.

nuttin'.........................................I didn't do nuttin' yesterday and probably won't do much today.....
Weather sucks here today .. Cloudy ,cold and the river is muddy...No bait.................No lead to pour.............................Guess I'll watch NASCAR.
Did go down to take a look-and - see , at the river yesterday.. It's up a little but, boy it's muddy as all git out..Lots of current too..
If the weather keeps going like it is, might be able to chase some crappie in a week or so...
Did hear of some guys hittin' them hard at KY Lake the other day... Just heard about it , didn't see any pictures or fish... So, you can take that with a grain of salt.
Won't be long now.....Days are gettin' longer and a little warmer.....The big Redneck Yacht is ready and on stand-by......
Still waitin' on my fishin' line to come in that I ordered two weeks ago from Jim's Sports Depot.....Reckon, I'm gonna have to go back to mail orderin' my stuff....Seems it's gettin' harder and harder for my little buddy to get stuff in at his store. Not lookin' good for his business.....
Figure that's what happens to a sportin' goods store when you put all your eggs in one basket . (His were in the deer and duck hunter basket. Around here and they mail order most of there stuff just so they can say "I got It At Cabela's,BassPro or Gander Mountain and I paid way too much for it)..
I knew he wasn't gonna be around long when he told me back in October that "Fishing Season is Over For The Year"... When I was trying to get him to order some heavy fishing line for some of us Big Fish Hunters....
I think he's gone back to drivin' a truck or something and leaving some nice young lady to run the store..
Well, so much for my day....All this b*tchin' done made me tired... Think I'll go take a nap 'til the races come on.

Well, I was wrong in that last post.
I did end up doing something.
About the time I got that message posted ,my phone rang...
Guess Who ? ....Ole Lyndell ( with two L's) was on the other end....
First thing outta his mouth was" Whatcha gonna do today"
Most of the time when somebody ask me that , they're wantin' me to help with a project or wantin' to go fishin'.
Today was different....Ole Lyndell just wanna to know if I wanted to go SHOPPIN' !...
Yeah... I said.. WHUT?... Yelp he wanted to go shoppin' for a new fishin' rod and some line......
I couldn't get to my truck fast enuff.
We spent the whole day down at Barkley and KY Lakes .. Hittin' all the bait shops and flea-markets that were open on a Sunday...
And yes, I did find a bunch of fishin' stuff I couldn't live without...
I found me two E-Glass catfish rods that had to come home with me, a very large dip net that wanted to ride in my boat this comin' summer and several bags of hooks that thought they would be better off in my tackle box than that old bait shop..
After spendin' a months pay, we decided to take in some sights....nuther words , we went lookin' at some fishin' holes and places to put the boat in later this summer...Sounds like there's gonna be some Big Lake fishin' in our plans for this summer.
After a real good tour of the place....we headed back out on the road......As we were going through a little spot in the road ,we saw a couple of Flea-Markets open for business ............so.........we stopped. About an hour later Lyndell decides it was time to hit the road and he headed for the truck....I stopped and talked to the pretty young girl that was runnin' the place...
The conversation led to one thing or a nuther , then sinkers came up.....I told her that I had some in the back of my truck... That I had put there last week and I couldn't get them out 'cause the bucket was just too dang heavy to pick up....Then them magic words came outta her mouth ... "Do YOU WANT TO SELL THEM"......Well, bein's them sweet heart that I am... I told her : If She Really Needed Some, I would Let her Make Me An Offer... She did, I took it and them sinkers that's been ridin' around in my truck for two weeks found them selves a new home.....Got to figurin' on what I spent and what I got outta them sinkers......Not countin' gas money and money for a soda.... It was a good Day !
And I spent it with My Buddy Lyndell (with two L's)..
Looks like it's gonna be a good summer.

It's good to have a day like that. Used to have a buddy here that I spent a lot of time with just like that. We'd usually work in a lunch somewhere during the day get home tired and tickled with the new doo dads we'd found. Good times.

Some days are good.... Some days are bad....
I guess this is one of them bad days.
This is one of them kinda days I really don't like but, there's nuttin' we can do about...
Got a PM from Sam (aka 4rum) and he's tellin' me that his Pappy-in-law passed away yesterday....
Didn't know him but
From where I sit , he had to be a good man....
Sam I just want you to know me and Maw will be thinkin' about you and yours....
If ya need anything just let me know and I'll do what I can.

Well folks... Sorry I ain't been around to tell you some li......stories But, there's a reason for that...
Line ! I've been spoolin' line on my reels.....Yelp... It takes me a whole day to do it.....
I've spooled so much line this week I can hardly use my right arm anymore....Gonna have to rest up before I go fishin'..
Changed reels around , put my fav reels on my new rods and my not so fav. reels on my older rods... New line on all of them... Put all my stuff back in the boat that I took out last fall, batts. charged up... Lights workin' motor runnin' good........After all that , I go down to the river to see if I could run into any of the old fishermen comin' off the river... I did.... and guess what.............................They're not bitin'.... Just my luck... I'm all dressed up and no place to go.
I hope this is not a sign of things to come this year.
