Well, can't get any "shad" from the river so, I've been hitting the local small lakes for 'gills....
Using anything from Meal Worms to Jigs to catch 'em with....
Not doing too bad on the gills but, The Blues are a different story..So far I have one Blue around 10# and one that I just couldn't get to the bank....Weather has kept me from using the boat... Today might be a different story ....I'm off agin !
River is going up to 34 ft this week.Flood stage is 33 ft... I'll be in the corn fields later this week.
Hope to have some pictures....as soon as I can figure out this new camera

Hope the high water don't cause too many problems for folks faced with it.

Two......in two days......'cause I just didn't have enuff bait...
NO SHAD yet !
Caught one Blue about 10 lbs and one around 15lbs....
Water is jumpin'....
Got workers in here now ,building me a new tackle box....Camera is fried ! Going this AM to trade it back in for a new one... But, the fish have done been cleaned.

Big rivers are up around here, the small creeks have good current and are slowly dropping, soon I can get fresh bait!

Ok, I give you that one... That Mermaid could make a man drop something...When I first met her it was my jaw that dropped.... I couldn't believe that gofish could find anything like her...Much less get her to follow him home.

or sumptins sounds bout right.....dun figured it out ...we ever split yer gonna have a new nieghbor.....git me one a them there houseboats n live on the river down in yer parts,lay stone/blocks fer a livin n fish till i drop lol....find me an island somewheres n claim squatters rights ta it lol........got me a phone call from capn yesterday...he was a soundn purty good...reckn hes tryn ta catch ya on the phone.....oh yeah...says he lost the link ta the site on his "favorites " somehow lol

I reckon there's plenty of work around here.. Cliff, the guy that built my house and now the guy that built my new tackle box , says he's staying covered up with work...And now is talking about building a couple of new houses ....Reckon that should last him through the summer.
He's one of them Pro Bass fishermen so, I figured you and him would git along just fine.

maw jus be worried id git ya inta trouble lol.......jus picked up 2 side jobs yesterday...2 slabs concrete ta pour ...5 days work pay next months bills ....now jus gotta git some decent weather lol
